Multiple ways to use Walla Chair
-
Comfortable Sensory Chair
Walla Chair can be used as a comfortable chair that gives regulating sensory feedback while the child sits on the soft seat cushion.
-
Enclosed Nook-Like Chair
If your child prefers a more enclosed or nook-like experience, simply remove the seat cushion. The Walla Chair base includes comfortable memory foam that provides comfort and the sides of the chair will provide a sense of security and safety.
-
Use the Seat Cushion for Pressure
The seat cushion can be used by your child comforting pressure on top of their body while sitting in the chair or anywhere.
-
Completely Enclosed
We will be coming out with a hood for the chair at the end of summer which will allow the seat to be a cocoon style seat that really helps to block out distractions and helps focus even more.
-
Fidget Chair
Another option we will be adding by the end of 2024 is a snap on fidget base with interchangeable fidgets like buttons, wheels, textures, switches, etc.
The Scientific Case For Walla Chair
Several studies have explored the benefits of sensory chairs for children with ADHD, autism, or anxiety. Sensory chairs, also known as adaptive seating, are designed to help children improve focus, reduce anxiety, and enhance learning experiences.
Chairs that apply pressure, often referred to as sensory compression seating or deep pressure stimulation chairs, have been investigated for their potential benefits for children with ADHD, autism, or anxiety. These chairs are designed to provide proprioceptive input, which can be calming and help with focus and self-regulation.
Enclosed seating chairs, also known as sensory pods or hug chairs, provide a calming, cocoon-like environment that can help children with ADHD, autism, or anxiety by reducing sensory overload and promoting a sense of security. Click here for scientific study details.

I don't like it. I love it!
Many of my students gravitated towards it. Would love the option of a cover with material that can be wiped down.
Both kids reported it was very comfy. They loved taking the cushion out and laying on the ground with it while the other sat inside the chair like a little cocoon
Such regulating sensory feedback. And love the design where you can remove the cushion and create another option. The kids liked to sit in it and placed the cushion on top of their lap for a little extra deep pressure.
Both my students and my own kids loved the Wolla Chair. It was a hit in my classroom and living room! It's a bit tight for my 10 year old. Great fit for the younger kids.
